What a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the temperature is perfect and my children are behaving...for the most part. Everything is fine in my little world. Now, if I look out the window into the rest of the world, I see the market crashing, the government pointing fingers, and two president hopefuls trying there best to out-smart each other. Perhaps I should just stay in my little world.
Don't get me wrong, what happens out there is very important to me, but sometimes you have to focus your attention away from the big picture. It's scary to think where things are going and I feel useless to help. I vote. I call my legislator. I pray. I educate my children to be involved. But much of what happens is out of anyone control. There are some great ideas out there, but at what cost? Big government. Who's suppose to fix this mess, the people who made it or the tax payers. And if we don't fix it, what happens.
Oops I guess I looked to far out the window. Remember, It's a beautiful day, sun shining, perfect temperature and the children are behaving.

New at this

Here we go. I'm thrilled to finally enter into the whole blog thing. I have so many thoughts floating in my head, now I have a place to release them. Now, if I could just grasp ahold of one of these thoughts I may have something important to say.

Currently I am reading on the subject of Hinduism and the culture of India. I love color and deep traditions of the people. The beauty of their worship and devotion could teach this Christian a few things. How long has it been since I've meditated, or fasted to be nearer to my God?

I think it is necessary to search out other belief to deepen your own walk. A closed minded person will miss out on a lot of growth.

Well, the children are calling....priorities!
